2024 Hosting cPanel Price Increase

Back to Blog

Recently cPanel announced annual price increases to their software licensing. This increase is applicable to customer shared hosting, dedicated server hosting, and Cloud hosting services. Due to these changes, the cPanel licensing costs on your invoice will be increasing effective April 25, 2024. This article explains more about the price increase and what it means for our hosting clients.

What Is cPanel?

cPanel is the preferred hosting control panel sofware used for our clients, and utilized by an estimated 40% of all hosting servers worldwide. It helps our customers more easily do the following:

  • Easily check account usage.
  • Manage email accounts.
  • View website statistics.
  • Easily add / update / delete various software.
  • Manage DNS records.
  • And much more.

What Does This Mean For Me?

In order to continue offering our clients cPanel software, we are slightly increasing monthly hosting fees. The new price increases are as follows:

Shared hosting accounts:
An increase of $1 per month.

VPS / Cloud VPS accounts:
Pricing will vary based upon the number of accounts you have on your VPS / Cloud VPS server, but the average increase will be roughly $6 per month up to 25 accounts.

Dedicated Server accounts:
Pricing will vary based upon the number of accounts you have on your Dedicated server, but the average increase will be roughly $12 per month up to 50 accounts.

It is important to us for our customers to understand that this price increase was initiated by our vendor and is only a pass through of the increases that we received.

When Does The Price Increase Happen?

New pricing and adjustments to your existing hosting subscription accounts went into effect on January 2024. We opted to first see if we could renegotiate our licenses with cPanel and absorbed the costs temporarily. Unfortunately we were unable to keep the same pricing. So your next automated charge will reflect this increase.

We appreciate your business and if you have any questions regarding this slight price increase, please give us a call or use our inquiry form via our contact us page.
