Please follow these instructions for getting a backup copy of your new store. You are responsible for making a backup of your new store and the database needed to run it. While we do run daily backups as a courtesy, the integrity of these shared backups is not guaranteed and average wait time for a backup restoration is up to 7 days. Please read our website terms of service for additional information.
VIA FTP & ADMIN TOOLS:
1. For website files: Connect via FTP program of your choice using your provided logins, then download the entire /www/ folder contents.
2. For database: Visit your oscommerce admin tools, then clicking on TOOLS > BACKUPS and click on the BACKUP button. From the next screen select NO COMPRESSION and DOWNLOAD only as options then click BACKUP. It will prompt you to save this file on your local computer. Create a new folder on your computer and save to that location.
VIA CPANEL:
To download a copy of your entire hosting account (i.e. website, databases, emails, etc.):
1. Visit www.yoursite.com/cpanel/
2. Login with your provided logins.
3. Scroll down to FILES > and click on BACKUP WIZARD.
4. Follow the instructions.
NOTE: It is highly recommended that you run a backup of your store database at least once every day.
