To have the main FTP and CPANEL password changed for your website, follow these steps:
STEP 1: Login to CPANEL via www.yoursite.com/cpanel/
STEP 2: Under the PREFERENCES box, click on CHANGE PASSWORD.
STEP 3: Change your password as instructed and click on the “Change your password now!” button.
That password will now be your new password for FTP and CPANEL login. Please note for security purposes, the password you select must be secure, use a combination of letters and numbers. If your password is not secure enough, then CPANEL will let you know and you will have to pick a new secure one. You can also use the automatic password generation tool available on the CHANGE PASSWORD page.
