Alternatively if you are hosting with us, but want to keep your DNS records managing by your domain registrar, please follow these steps:
1. Login to your domain registrar account.
2. Go to your DNS MANAGEMENT settings (if unsure where these are at, call your domain registrar).
3. Adjust your records as follows:
a. Main website: Locate the main A record with name of @ and OLDIP to A @ YOURNEWIP
b. FTP record: change the A record FTP value from OLDIP to YOURNEWIP.
c. CPANEL record: to ensure CPANEL works, add a new A record as follows:
– TYPE: A
– HOSTNAME: cpanel
– VALUE: YOURNEWIP
4. Report back to us so we can change your local email records to use remote email.
*PLEASE NOTE: If you use this method, you will still see the ‘EMAIL’ section options in CPANEL, but they will not work. You will need to manage your email accounts via your provider.
