Why do I have to pay extra for an item excluded from my contract?

Missing an item in your contract can happen in one of several ways:

1. We miss adding it during initial project discussions: This can happen on occasion either by human error, or via a misunderstanding of the requirements you state to us.
2. Information we requested in order to quote it was not provided to us.

While we do our best to ensure a contract includes everything discussed, including sending over the full contract for review prior to your acceptance, items may be missed. Per our contract terms and policies though, any items not listed within a contract, regardless of reason, are subject to additional fees and contract terms.

In simplest terms, if you go to a home builder to have a new home built and they give you a blueprint to review for accuracy, even if within initial discussions you mentioned possibly adding a garage but it was missed within the blueprint you approved, the garage can still be added without issue for a cost. As such we always highly recommend clients go through their contracts in detail and ask to clarify any items they do not understand to avoid miscommunications.
